March Birthstone Welcome Box Offer

White Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie Bars

I admit it, this is a lazy moment creation :)
Well, basically a cheap moment creation. Normally I don’t but boxed cake or cookie mixes, but they were on sale for 50 cents, so I just had to grab them. I can’t resist good deals like that. So these White Chocolate Oatmeal cookie bars have only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes prep time haha.
It’s definitely a nice sweet treat for lazy Sundays or whenever you have guests, since it’s so quick to make. And I think it also looks kind of pretty :)

We ate the first piece 15 minutes after I took them out of the oven with cookie dough ice cream on top – Good lord, that was delicious! The next three days we had it once at room temperature and twice out of the fridge and I can’t pick which one was my favorite, they taste amazing all the time :) So you kind of have to figure that out yourself!

White Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie Bars
Recipe type: Dessert
What you need
  • 1 pouch Oatmeal Cookie Dough mix
  • Ingredients you need to make them (most likely 1 egg and water)
  • 1 cup white chocolate M&M's
How you make it
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 F
  2. Line a 8 inch brownie pan with parchment paper
  3. Chop M&M's in half
  4. Mix cookie dough, egg and water (or whatever your package calls for) until smooth
  5. Fold in white chocolate M&M's
  6. Transfer dough into baking pan and spread out
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes

In case you don’t want to use boxed cookie mix I can tell you that this recipe works just as fine with every other cookie recipe. Simply make the dough as usual and then press the whole batch into a baking form. Baking time should pretty much stay the same :)
Here are two recipe that would work for sure and caught my attention flavor wise:

Monkey Cookies from Feeding Big and
Nutella 2 Chip Cookies from Spatulas On Parade

  7. I can tell these would be the kind of sweet that I would just love. The look chewy and full of sweet bites. I will say they are healthy too since they have oatmeal! I always have a box or package for mix in the pantry, you never know when you have an emergency or a lazy day like you said!

  8. These look delicious! I will be copying your recipe and trying these out with my kids.

  9. Oh my goodness, these looks delicious! I’m super hungry right now too…lol

  10. I’m giving this recipe to my teenage son. He keeps asking for cookies but is too lazy to tackle the Nestle Tollhouse recipe on the back of the bag of chocolate chips. 3 ingredients and only a few steps–I think even he can handle this one. Thanks for sharing!
