Picture

" Hi!  I’m Amy!  That’s not my car, but I wish it was!
You may know me from my first food blog, Amy’s Cooking Adventures (it’s still up and running and it’s where I share delicious recipes the whole family will enjoy!) I decided to start this blog because I wanted a place to share all of the beautiful (well, I think they’re lovely) cakes and cookies I make. Most of the cookies you see here are for my family.  Some of the cakes are for my family, but many are for friends.  You’ll also see a whole lot of my original recipes for cakes. I’d love for you to give some of me recipes and designs a try some time, I just request that you please give me credit with a link back if you choose to repost on your own blog.
So welcome! And let the baking begin!"

" I am a 20 year old college junior at UNC-Chapel Hill (and I'm a Tar Heel...get it?!). Although I'm majoring in Business Administration/Finance, I have a well-known love for all things food. My sweet tooth is unmatched and I can't get enough. I love that food has the ability to unite people because, as we all know, food is the way to anyone's heart! While I'll admit I'm no pro in the kitchen, I truly love to bake and cook and am excited to share some favorite recipes!"

"Hi, I’m Ann from Sumptuous Spoonfuls. I am not a chef–actually, I am an engineer. I just love to cook, and I love to share what I cook with my friends. Cooking is my refuge, my solace. Whenever I start to feel down, just the act of walking into the kitchen to cook makes me feel alive again. Sumptuous Spoonfuls started out as a way to record my recipes so they would be readily available when I (or one of my children or family or friends) wanted them. But then it turned into a creative outlet, a way to relieve stress through writing and cooking. As I “met” other foodies in cyberspace, we became friends and their posts began to give me inspiration in the kitchen and behind the camera."

The kitchen has since become my domain and I not only make all meals there, but stock it as well. And when I say stock the kitchen I mean it. Five picky brothers, a little sister, two busy parents and a very happy 17-year-old Canadian snowboarder, all make up my family. It is really crazy at times, but I love it! The best part of cooking and baking is being able to make people happy. To me is it the greatest feeling when someone loves what I have made!"

"I L.O.V.E. food and I love to share that with people.  This love was instilled in me by my mother and growing up in the "wilds" of Idaho on a farm.  I loved my life there and learned how to plant and grow a garden, can all our delicious produce, make some downright tasty bread, raise chickens, feed lots of people (there are 11 in my family--9 kids, 2 adults), and love the sounds and smells of a kitchen. I now get to do make all sorts of yummy things for my family--the hubs and 2 boys and 2 girls. We still live in Idaho, but not on a farm, but almost everything I learned about food came from when I was The Farm Girl."
