March Birthstone Welcome Box Offer

Healthy Gluten Free Snacks

What I am telling you now might be a little mind blowing for some of you – It definitely was for me! Walmart has a large selection of gluten free foods to absolutely affordable prices!
Seriously, who knew?!

Let me just show you a few of the products I found at my local Walmart:

Quaker Popped
Glutino Chocolate Cookies
Udi’s Gluten Free Uncured Pepperoni Pizza
PB & J Bars (Blueberry or Strawberry)
Nature’s Path Granola
Clif Bars / Luna Bars / Mojo Bars
Udi’s Florence Street Bakery Country Seeded Bread

Now let me show you how I turned these good-for-you snacks into fancy appetizers :)

Cheesy BLT Appetizer

All you need for this is:
1 Bag of Quaker Popper Rice Crisps Cheddar Cheese (from Walmart)
Bacon, cooked
Some Lettuce
Cocktail Tomatoes, sliced

Lay your Quaker Poppers on a cutting board. Top with lettuce, bacon slice pieces and a slice of tomato. If you like, you can sprinkle some black pepper on top as well. Well, that’s all it takes to make this fantastic crowd-pleaser :)

Clif Bar Peanut Butter Roll Up

This one needs even less ingredients, but is a little trickier to make.
Take any kind of gluten free bar (preferably a fruity one so the rolling goes easier). Roll out the bar with a rolling pin. Spread a small amount of peanut butter on it (in my case powdered peanut butter mixed with water) and gently roll up the bar. Cut off the very end on each side and serve! Your guests, kids, husband, wife will love it!

So the next time you go to Walmart, stop by the gluten free isle for sure and see what your local Walmart has to offer. If you don’t normally go to Walmart, you might want to give them a shot now that you know they do have this large variety of gluten free foods :)
