My name is Stephanie and I am the creator of Attainable Cuisine. My blog has a great mix of flavors and they do not require you to be a culinary master. Most of my recipes are family favorites and do not require exotic or unusually ingredients. Attainable is the key word, meaning something that can be accomplished. I have been working on my blog a little over a year now and I have so many more ideas I would like to add and share……now if only I had a few more hours in the day to get them all done sooner!
You can also find me on Facebook!

I am sharing a Chocolate Lava Cake, which I made in the microwave!!! Why haven’t I been making these more?? No heating up the oven and the cakes come out so moist and tasty. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family and I have. I was so amazed at how fluffy, light and moist the cake turned out, it really rose perfectly and had a very even consistency.

I wonder if this recipe would work as well with different cake and frosting flavors?? To be continued……

Chocolate Lava Cake
Author:
Recipe type: Dessert

What you need
  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix and the ingredients needed to prepare the cake as directed on the box
  • 1 tub chocolate frosting
How you make it
  1. In your glass or stone baking dish combine the cake mix along with the ingredients listed on the box.
  2. Stir until smooth and there are no more lumps.
  3. Then drop dollops of the frosting on top of the cake mixture (I used a medium sized scoop).
  4. Microwave, uncovered for 10 minutes. FINISHED!!!
  5. Be careful cake will be HOT and the "lava" will be too.
  6. The "lava" sauce will be at the bottom of the dish when the cake is finished. I suggest serving this with vanilla ice cream.....but is not a must ;-)
