Snickerdoodle Cake

Sometimes I just like it real simple! Nothing fancy, just a piece of cake that is fast to make with ingredients I always have at home. So this Snickerdoodle Cake is exactly that! I am sure you also have all the ingredients at home and if you also have 35 minutes time, you are good to go. Yes, 35 minutes is all it takes from starting to prepare to being able to eat it, because this cake tastes great warm (also cold haha) and can be topped with whatever you like to make it a little special.
My standard way of serving this one is drizzled with chocolate and caramel, but when I’m alone and no one watches, I cut it open, spread some Nutella in between and some jam on top 😉
Snickerdoodle Cake
Recipe type: Dessert
What you need
  • 1⅓ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
How you make it
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 F
  2. Line a 8 inch baking form with parchment paper (I like to use my pie form to get a round cake)
  3. In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt and brown sugar
  4. Add butter, egg and vanilla and stir until very well combined
  5. Press into baking form
  6. Combine cinnamon and white sugar and sprinkle over batter
  7. Bake for 25 minutes
*I love to serve it warm with some drizzled caramel and chocolate or when it's cold with some Nutella and jam :)
