Bavarian Sausage Salad

bavarian sausage salad german recipe

I can’t help, but I really think that we Bavarians have great food. If I think about my childhood and my grandpas awesome food, I do get homesick.

Today it was finally warm here in Washington, so I thought my grandpas Sausage Salad would be perfect. And it was! I still make it exactly the way he thought me and it never gets old.
We enjoyed it on our balcony and are really sad, that it’s all gone now :)

You gotta make this salad in the morning, because it needs some time in the fridge to get that tasty.
If you make to much, you can eat it throughout the whole week, it won’t get bad.

Served with some Baguette, this is a wonderful summer dish, that you won’t regret to make.
